Aim of the project is to understand the Lightness and Heaviness in architecture through designing a lecture hall. Materials , forms , openings are the main parameter for a  building to be appeared as light or heavy. In this project lightness and heaviness are achieved by keeping the ground floor transparent and giving the  upper floor a heavy appearance. Structure of the building is as simple as possible to keep the ground clear and light . However gallery part of the ground floor is kept 7’below to the ground level so that direct sun light may not create problem for the exhibited items . No opening will be appeared from outside of the upper level .A concrete shell makes the upper level more heavy .
